Chinese and Nordic Internet and Grid experts held the 2nd annual Chinese-Nordic Networking Workshop (CNNW) in Shanghai, China, on 23-25 April 2007. The 2007 workshop was hosted by CERNET and the Tongji University.

On 1-2 March 2007 NORDUnet will organize a workshop for the Nordic NREN's about making the jump into dark fiber networks and technology.

The objective is to relay the practical experience and lessons learned from ongoing dark fiber projects, and to provide a forum for discussion of plans and concerns.

The first day of the workshop ioll focus on dark fiber and dark fiber development, while the second day will primarily focus on layer 1 and 2 transmission equipment for dark fiber networks.

Chinese and Nordic Internet expers had a joint meeting and workshop in Trondheim, Norway 19-21 April 2006. The meeting was arranged by UNINETT and NORDUnet. The workshop gathered Nordic and Chinese NREN and GRID people together for intense discussions.
