NORDIC NREN FIBER WORKSHOP IN COPENHAGEN, MARCH 2007
On 1-2 March 2007 NORDUnet held a workshop in Copenhagen
about making the transition into the dark fiber networks and technology.
The objective was to relay the practical experience
and lessons learned from dark fiber projects, and to provide a
forum for discussion of plans and concerns.
The program topic of day one was a short presentation of where
the Nordic NREN's are today when it comes to dark fiber deployment,
while the focus of the rest of day one was dark fiber. The second
day focused on layer 1 and 2 transmission equipment
for dark fiber networks.
