Nordic Network Research Programmes

The NORDUnet network is the result of work done during the first Nordic Networks Research Programme, NORDUNET, run from 1985 to 1991. The tradition for joint Nordic network research and development established in the original NORDUNET programme continues, and the third programme in the series, Nordunet3, is now underway.

Nordunet3

The Nordunet3 programme is jointly sponsored by the Nordic Council of Ministers, NordForsk, The Joint Committee of the Nordic Natural Science Research Councils (NOS-N), and NORDUnet. The programme runs from 2005 to 2009 and sponsors basic research in internet technology.

NORDUnet has been appointed Programme Coordinator for the Norduent3 programme and hosts the programme secretariat.
